Gold and silver specie (coins or stamped bullion) recognized as legal tender in Alaska to the fullest extent permitted by the U.S. Constitution, including specie issued by the federal government, recognized foreign governments, or the state government if court-approved.

Boroughs and cities prohibited from levying or collecting sales or use taxes on the gold or silver value contained in specie during sales or exchanges.

No person or government entity required to accept gold or silver specie as payment.

Legislative Budget and Audit Committee directed to study the feasibility of additional legal tender forms for paying debts and taxes owed to the state, as well as consumer protections related to specie transactions.

"Specie" defined as gold or silver valued primarily by metal content in the form of coin or bullion stamped with weight and purity.
