Children under 6 years old who qualify for Medicaid (medical assistance) would remain continuously eligible until they turn 6, eliminating the need for periodic re-enrollment

Children ages 6-18 may remain eligible for up to 11 calendar months after their eligibility determination or until age 19, whichever comes first

The Alaska Department of Health must submit state plan amendments or waiver requests to the federal Department of Health and Human Services for approval

The law takes effect only if federal approval is received on or before July 1, 2027
