Veterans rated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as permanently and totally disabled due to a service-connected condition become eligible for normal retirement benefits at any age, provided they have at least five years of credited service

Standard retirement eligibility remains at age 60 with five years of credited service for non-disabled veterans and other employees

Peace officers and firefighters retain eligibility after 20 years of credited service; all other employees retain eligibility after 30 years of credited service

Repeals AS 39.35.340(d), 39.35.340(i), and 39.35.541(b) from existing retirement statute
