Expands the unemployment insurance exemption for sports officials at amateur sporting events by removing the "volunteer work" limitation that previously capped compensation at $1,500 per year

Sports officials working on a contract basis at events where competitors are unpaid will be exempt from employment security contributions regardless of how much they earn

"Sports official" includes umpires, referees, judges, scorekeepers, timekeepers, and organizers who are neutral participants in competitions

The exemption does not apply if the sports official files an unemployment claim related to events sponsored by an employer for whom they normally work as a teacher, coach, or administrator
