Expands Alaska's tuition waiver program at state-supported educational institutions to include spouses and dependent children of armed services members, peace officers, and firefighters who are permanently and totally disabled in the line of duty, not just those who died

Armed services members must receive a federal permanent total disability rating from injuries sustained in the line of duty to qualify their families for the waiver

Peace officers and firefighters (including volunteers) must be determined permanently totally disabled under AS 23.30.180 from job-related acts or injuries

Updates definitions of "dependent child" and "spouse" to include those who held that status at the time of the disabling incident, not just at time of death

Takes effect immediately and applies to tuition and fees for academic terms beginning on or after the effective date
