Alaska State Legislature commemorates November 10, 2025, as the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps, founded at Tun Tavern in Philadelphia on November 10, 1775

Honors fallen Marines and Navy corpsmen who made the ultimate sacrifice, while paying tribute to currently serving members who carry forward the Corps' legacy

Recognizes Marine Corps service in every major U.S. conflict from the Revolutionary War to the Global War on Terrorism, including battles at Trenton, Wake Island, Inchon, Desert Storm, and Ramadi

Calls on Alaskans and all Americans to participate in commemorative activities and share stories of Marine Corps heroism

Urges Alaska communities to recognize contributions of local Marines and collaborate with the Marine Corps to foster civic pride and mutual support
