Supports completion of the Port MacKenzie Rail Extension (currently two-thirds complete, 33 miles from connecting to main rail line) and the Northern Rail Extension (phase 1 complete, now within 70 miles of Delta Junction and Fort Greely)

Aims to connect Fort Greely—the only military base in Alaska not currently linked to the railroad system—to support the expanded anti-ballistic missile facility and U.S. Army Arctic Mission training operations

Would benefit mining operations near Delta Junction and Tetlin, agricultural industry in the Delta Junction area, and enable transport of liquefied natural gas from Cook Inlet to Fairbanks and North Pole

Encourages Alaska Railroad to adopt a community-minded approach to rail expansion, including reporting to the legislature on efforts to improve relations with affected landowners and communities

Urges Alaska's congressional delegation to pursue completion of both rail extensions as critical Arctic defense infrastructure
