Resolution highlights the Army's historical contributions from the Revolutionary War through the Global War on Terrorism, including the Aleutian Islands campaign during WWII when Japanese forces were repelled from American soil

Recognizes Alaska's strategic military importance, including Fort Wainwright (home to the 11th Airborne Division) and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, which support Arctic military readiness and Indo-Pacific operations

Notes that after the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, more than 180,000 Black men served in the Union Army during the Civil War

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to President Trump, Vice President Vance, congressional leadership, and Alaska's congressional delegation (Senators Murkowski and Sullivan, Representative Begich)
