Amends AS 08.68.331 to establish mandatory standards for certified nurse aide (CNA) training programs in Alaska, requiring programs ensure clients receive safe and competent care

Requires CNA training to cover communication, relationship-building, and sensitivity to clients' emotional, social, and mental health needs

Mandates training on care for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and other cognitive impairments

Requires CNAs be trained in client observation, reporting, assessment, care planning best practices, and techniques that preserve client dignity, values, and choices

Effective date: January 1, 2026
