Establishes a matching grant program within the Department of Education and Early Development for museum construction, expansion, and major renovation projects in Alaska

Grants may fund new facility construction, expansion of existing facilities by at least 10 percent square footage, physical upgrades for artifact preservation, or improvements to educational service spaces

Applicants must be located in Alaska and provide matching funds equal to at least 50 percent of total project costs from other sources

State grants are capped at no more than 50 percent of total proposed project costs, subject to appropriation

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
