AK SB13

Requires the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development to take all necessary actions to qualify for available federal funds for the summer electronic benefits transfer (EBT) program for children

Assigns the Department responsibility to administer the summer EBT program once federal funds are secured

Grants the Department authority to adopt regulations necessary to implement and carry out the summer electronic benefits transfer program

Defines "summer electronic benefits transfer program" as the federal program for children authorized under 42 U.S.C. 1762
