Gold and silver specie (coins or stamped bullion) would be recognized as legal tender in Alaska for payment of debts, including specie issued by the federal government, recognized foreign governments, or the state government under certain conditions

Boroughs and cities are prohibited from levying or collecting sales or use taxes on the value of gold or silver contained in specie during sales or exchanges

No person or governmental entity would be required to accept gold or silver specie as payment

The Legislative Budget and Audit Committee must study the feasibility of establishing additional forms of legal tender for paying debts, taxes, and public charges, as well as consumer protections related to specie transactions

Foreign government specie qualifies only if the issuing government is recognized by the U.S. State Department and has not been designated as a foreign adversary under federal law
