Requires the Alaska Department of Education to develop a model policy prohibiting non-school-issued wireless telecommunications devices (cell phones, etc.) in public schools during regular school hours, including lunch and passing periods

Mandates each school district adopt a policy prohibiting students from possessing or using personal wireless devices during school hours, with districts able to create their own policy or adopt the state model

Permits exceptions for emergency use of wireless devices under the policy

Requires school districts to share the policy with parents/guardians, students, volunteers, and school employees

Takes effect July 1, 2025
