Regional school board members may be employed as substitute teachers at schools, creating an exception to existing employment restrictions under AS 14.14.140

General school board members may also serve as substitute teachers, notwithstanding current prohibitions on board member employment

Persons convicted of any felony under state or federal law are disqualified from serving on school boards, including those who have been unconditionally discharged from their sentence
