School districts may adopt plans to notify parents or guardians when a student is involved in harassment, intimidation, or bullying incidents, or when a student makes a threat of suicide

When notifying parents about a suicide threat, districts must provide suicide prevention and crisis intervention resources, including information on obtaining professional risk assessments and limiting student access to firearms and lethal medications

Establishes the Firearm Safe Storage Grant Fund within the general fund, managed by the Department of Administration, to purchase and distribute lock boxes, safes, cable locks, and other firearm storage devices at no cost

Free safe storage devices may be distributed to school districts or hunter/firearm safety programs administered by school districts; the fund does not lapse and may receive appropriations, grants, and donations

The Statewide Suicide Prevention Council may advise school districts on appropriate materials and reference lists to provide to parents in these situations
