Requires the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development to develop an opioid abuse awareness and prevention curriculum for students in grades 6-12

Mandates at least 60 minutes of annual instruction covering dangers of opioid use, fentanyl-laced drugs disguised as candy targeting children, science of opioid use, prevention strategies, and early warning signs of addiction

Requires curriculum development in consultation with the Department of Health, state and tribal entities experienced in overdose response, and family members of overdose victims

All school districts must teach the curriculum to grades 6-12, delivered during or as close as practicable to the last week of October
