Alaska State Legislature recognizes and honors the relationship between Alaska and Greenland as Arctic neighbors sharing geography, Indigenous cultural connections between Alaska Native and Inuit peoples, and common challenges including climate change, coastal erosion, and remote community infrastructure needs

Resolution affirms continued U.S.-Denmark cooperation on Arctic security, economic development, environmental protection, and scientific research, noting both nations are founding NATO members and that Pituffik Space Base in Greenland supports Arctic and global security

Clarifies that historical U.S. military presence in Greenland, including during World War II, neither intended nor established U.S. sovereignty, ownership, or territorial control over Greenland

Encourages strengthened Alaska-Greenland collaboration in Indigenous exchange, education, renewable energy, fisheries, transportation, and emergency response

Copies to be sent to President Trump, Denmark's Prime Minister Frederiksen, Greenland's Prime Minister Nielsen, Secretary of State Rubio, Secretary of Defense Hegseth, and Alaska's congressional delegation
