Proposes a constitutional amendment to prohibit privilege or license taxes on gross receipts from vocations, occupations, callings, or professions in Madison County.

Preserves existing authority for Madison County and municipalities to impose business licenses under current local acts and Code of Alabama sections 11-51-90, 11-51-91, 11-51-92, and 11-51-93.

Election on the amendment shall be held in accordance with Amendment 555 to the Alabama Constitution and state election laws.

Election officials shall assign a ballot number and display the amendment description with Yes/No voting options on the ballot.

Passed by the House on January 19, 2010 and the Senate on February 16, 2010.
