• Proposes a constitutional amendment to modify Amendment 93 (Section 111.06) of the Alabama Constitution to authorize motor vehicle-related fees and taxes to be used for public transportation in addition to current allowed uses.

• Currently, state fees and taxes on vehicle registration, operation, use, and fuel may only be spent on highway construction, maintenance, repair, traffic regulation, and enforcement costs.

• Amendment would add "public transportation" as an authorized use of these motor vehicle-derived revenues while maintaining all existing permitted uses.

• Election on the proposed amendment shall be held in accordance with Alabama constitutional procedures (Sections 284 and 285) and state general election laws.
