AL HB164

Authorizes the sale of draft or keg beer and malt beverages for on-premises consumption only by properly licensed retail licensees of the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board in Chambers County.

Permits the Chambers County Commission to adopt ordinances regulating the sale of draft or keg beer or malt beverages.

Requires approval by majority vote of qualified Chambers County electors in an election held on the first primary election day in June 2010.

If voters approve the measure, Section 2 becomes operative immediately; if rejected, the act is repealed and has no further effect.

The Judge of Probate of Chambers County must certify the election results to the Secretary of State.
