• Increases daily compensation for county board of registrars members from $60 to $100 per day for attendance on board business.

• Applies the increase to both regular sessions under Section 17-3-5 and special sessions under Section 17-3-12.

• State Comptroller continues to issue monthly payments to county commissions, including employer share of Social Security and Federal Insurance Contributions Act taxes.

• Maintains existing provisions regarding mileage allowances, travel expenses, Social Security protections, and exemptions for counties with populations of 600,000 or more.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
