• Maintains existing trapping license fees of $7.65 for residents and $500.15 for nonresidents, with beaver-only trappers exempt from paying license fees.

• Preserves enforcement provisions allowing law enforcement to confiscate traps used in violation of this section, with violations constituting a misdemeanor punishable by fines of $250 to $2,000 per offense.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
