Amends Section 34-1-4 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to modify certification requirements for certified public accountants (CPAs).

Allows persons who have not previously sat for the uniform CPA examination to obtain a CPA certificate if they complete 150 semester hours or 225 quarter hours of postsecondary education, including a baccalaureate or higher degree with an accounting concentration.

Requires the education to be from a regionally accredited college or university with course work as defined or required by the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy.

Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
