• Semi-retired or retired circuit judges of the 11th Judicial Circuit in Lauderdale County receive additional compensation from county treasury equal to 1.5% of state-paid compensation for each year served, up to a maximum of 25%.

• Compensation is paid in 12 equal monthly installments from general county funds on properly drawn warrants.

• Additional compensation may not be paid to judges who have not vested in the Retirement Systems of Alabama as of the act's enactment date.

• Judges who have vested in the Retirement Systems of Alabama receive retirement supplements pursuant to the formula in subsection (a).

• Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
