Eliminates the requirement to provide written notice to parents or guardians before prosecution when nonenrollment or nonattendance is found to be intentional and without valid excuse or good reason.

Requires local school superintendents to distribute copies of the school attendance policy and applicable sections of Alabama's Compulsory School Attendance Law to each parent, guardian, or person having control of an enrolled child at the start of each school year.

Mandates that parents, guardians, or other persons having control of enrolled children sign a verification statement confirming they have read and received notice of state and local attendance policies.

Requires attendance officers to pursue criminal prosecution against parents, guardians, or other persons having control of a child when investigation reveals intentional nonattendance or nonenrollment without valid excuse or good reason.

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
