Circuit and district judicial offices in Marshall County shall be elected on a nonpartisan basis without any party device or symbol appearing on the ballot.

A separate "Official Nonpartisan Circuit and District Judicial Ballot" shall be available during the primary election cycle, allowing voters to vote for judicial candidates without voting in either primary.

If a runoff is needed, candidates' names shall be placed on another nonpartisan ballot for the general election; if no opposition exists during the primary, no ballot is issued until the general election.

Primary election winners without opposition shall appear alone on the general election nonpartisan ballot.

All duties and responsibilities previously delegated to political parties are transferred to the judge of probate, effective immediately upon passage and gubernatorial approval.
