The Alabama Legislature honors and commends the Faith Academy Symphonic Band for being invited to perform at Carnegie Hall for the second time at the National Invitational Band and Orchestra Festival.

Faith Academy's instrumental program is the largest private Christian school program in Alabama with more than 200 members since its founding in 1997, led by Director David Pryor.

The band has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall in April 2006 and April 3, 2010, the AMEA Conference at the University of Alabama in January 2005, the 2008 "Circle of Honor" festival in Chicago Symphony Hall, and a concert at the Lincoln Memorial on March 31, 2010.

The resolution conveys congratulations to Director David Pryor and recognizes the band members, their families, their school, and the State of Alabama for the band's nationally acclaimed accomplishments.

The House adopted this joint resolution on April 22, 2010, and the Senate adopted it the same date.
