Establishes Alabama Teachers and Educational Support Personnel Day on June 18, 2010, to honor all current and former Alabama teachers and educational support personnel.

The Alabama Legislature, Alabama Sports Festival, and Governor's Commission on Physical Fitness partner to recognize the service performed by teachers and educational support personnel in educating and molding Alabama's children.

A momentous tribute to teachers and educational support personnel will be televised live statewide from the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center complex on Friday, June 18, 2010, beginning at 7:00 P.M., coinciding with the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Alabama Sports Festival XXVIII.

The Alabama Sports Festival, celebrating its 28th Anniversary in 2010, has awarded approximately $200,000 in academic scholarships and promotes Academic Excellence, Good Citizenship, ethical values, and opposition to drug and alcohol use among Alabama's youth.
