Celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, founded in 1910, recognizing its contributions to youth development in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance.

Notes that more than 110 million Americans have been Boy Scouts members and that 11 of the 12 men who walked on the moon were Scout members.

Highlights notable Scout alumni including Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Gerald R. Ford, Jr.; astronauts Neil Armstrong and John Glenn; and business leaders Bill Gates and Sam Walton.

Recognizes the Boy Scouts' establishment in Alabama beginning with the Birmingham Council formation in 1915 and the organization's core values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, honesty, perseverance, respect, and responsibility.

Extends commendations and congratulations to the Boy Scouts of America on the celebration of Scouting's 100th Anniversary on February 8, 2010.
