Mourns the death of Mr. Gerald DeWitt Colvin, Sr., who passed away at age 90.

Recognizes his service in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, where he earned a Bronze Star, and his subsequent service in the Air Force Reserve and Alabama National Guard, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Honors his legal career as a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, Walker County District Judge, and County District Attorney in Jasper.

Notes his active membership in St. Mary's Episcopal Church and his family survivors including two sons, two daughters, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Directs that deepest condolences be extended to his family by copy of this resolution adopted by both houses of the Alabama Legislature on February 9-17, 2010.
