Mourns the death of Paul R. Jones of Atlanta, who passed away at age 81 years old.

Recognizes Jones as a committed civil rights activist who served as executive of the Birmingham Interracial Committee and held federal government positions for over 15 years, including deputy director of the Peace Corps in Thailand.

Celebrates Jones' significant art collection of African American art begun in the 1960s, including donations of several hundred pieces valued at over $3 million to the University of Delaware and over 1,700 pieces valued at over $5 million to The University of Alabama in 2008.

Notes Jones' educational background including a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Howard University and Master of Arts in Urban Studies from Governor's State University.
