Recognizes the historic marker dedication ceremony for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's salute to honorary member Rosa L. Parks, scheduled for February 24, 2010, at Court Square in Montgomery.

Commemorates Rosa L. Parks' refusal to relinquish her bus seat on December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, which sparked the Civil Rights Movement; the marker will be placed at the exact site where she boarded the bus.

Notes the marker is the culmination of a two-year effort beginning in March 2008, when over 1,500 AKA members convened in Montgomery for the sorority's 76th South Eastern Regional Conference.

Acknowledges Alpha Kappa Alpha as America's first Greek lettered organization founded by and for African-American college women in 1908, and recognizes Rosa L. Parks' honorary membership since 1988.

Directs copies of the resolution to be provided to the South Eastern Regional Director for AKA, Soror Danita Rose, the Mayor of Montgomery, and the Beta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
