• Creates the Statewide Trauma System Funding Committee to study revenue measures supporting Alabama's trauma system established by Act 2007-299.

• Committee composition includes 9 members: chairs of House Government Appropriations and Senate Finance/Taxation committees, representatives from the Governor's office, Department of Public Health's Office of EMS and Trauma, Department of Economic and Community Affairs, two trauma hospital representatives, and two trauma/emergency physician representatives.

• Committee membership must reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state, with a report to the Legislature on compliance due by the second legislative day of the 2011 Regular Session.

• Committee shall report findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the Legislature by the 10th legislative day of the 2011 Regular Session, at which point it dissolves.

• Total expenditures for the committee shall not exceed $5,000, with legislative members entitled to regular compensation, per diem, and travel expenses.
