• Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was founded in 1911 at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and now has more than 700 chapters located in the United States and around the world.

• Alabama's state organization consists of 12 graduate and 12 undergraduate chapters that volunteered more than 10,000 hours and donated thousands of dollars during fiscal year 2007-2008 to uplift communities and encourage higher social, economic, and intellectual achievement.

• Directs a copy of the resolution be presented to Mr. Kieth R. Jackson, Seventh District Representative, with highest praise and best wishes for future service endeavors.
