Commends Lieutenant Steve Searcy of the Montgomery Police Department for more than 30 years of service to the City of Montgomery and the State of Alabama.

Recognizes Searcy's establishment of one of the first domestic violence response units in Alabama and his leadership as chair and co-chair of the Montgomery County Domestic Violence Task Force.

Acknowledges Searcy's provision of law enforcement training to thousands of police officers throughout Alabama over the past 10 years and his national recognition as an expert on law enforcement response to domestic violence.

Congratulates Searcy on his retirement from the Montgomery Police Department and his appointment as the first Executive Director of One Place, Alabama's first Family Justice Center.
