Commends Geneva Police Lieutenant Ricky Morgan as a nominee for the 2010 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, the state's highest law enforcement award for extraordinary courage in the line of duty.

Recognizes Lieutenant Morgan's instrumental role on March 10, 2009, in responding to the single deadliest crime in Alabama's recorded history when a gunman murdered ten victims and injured six others in Geneva and Coffee Counties.

Acknowledges Lieutenant Morgan's courageous participation in a high-speed pursuit and gunfire exchange with the perpetrator at great personal risk, actions that likely saved the lives of several additional victims.

Directs that Lieutenant Morgan receive a copy of the resolution as a token of the legislature's admiration and esteem.

Adopted by the House on March 9, 2010, and by the Senate on March 23, 2010.
