Commends Tuskegee University's Golden Tigers basketball team for winning the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Tournament Championship on March 6, 2010, their first title in 31 years.

Tuskegee defeated top-seeded Clark University of Atlanta 61-57 in the championship game, with junior Lorell Friend hitting the winning free throw with four seconds remaining at Forbes Arena in Atlanta.

Freshman Calvin Thomas was named Most Valuable Player with 16 points and All-Tournament Team honors, along with junior Lorell Friend who contributed 15 points.

The victory capped a successful 20-10 season, marking the first time since the 1981-1982 season the team reached 20 wins and the first championship title since 1979.

Coach Leon Douglas earned his second SIAC championship in this role, having previously won in 2006 as head coach at Stillman College.
