Congratulates Erica Leonardi on being selected Miss Talladega County 2010 and competing in the Miss Alabama contest as part of the Miss America Preliminaries.

Recognizes Leonardi as an outstanding Mass Communications student specializing in Broadcasting at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, scheduled to graduate in May 2010 with plans to pursue graduate studies in Speech and Language Pathology.

Highlights her achievement as UAB Broadcaster of the Year and her extracurricular activities including service as UAB Ambassador, former Golden Girl, and former University of Kentucky cheerleader.

Notes her platform of Child Literacy Awareness and involvement with Alabama Spokespersons for Better Basics, a 501(c)(3) organization that has made more than 18,000 books available to schools through enrichment programs.

House adopted the resolution on April 13, 2010 and Senate adopted it on April 21, 2010.
