Commends Representative Cam Ward for his distinguished legislative service to House District 49 in Bibb and Shelby Counties and the State of Alabama since his election in 2002.

Ward has served on the Committees on the Judiciary, Education Policy, Rules, and Shelby County Legislation, and is a member of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws.

Ward holds a B.S. from Troy State University and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law; has served as Deputy Attorney General in the Alabama State Auditor's Office, Confidential Assistant to the Alabama Secretary of State, and District Director for U.S. Representative Spencer Bachus; currently serves as Executive Director of the Industrial Development Board of Alabaster.

Ward has been recognized as State Elected Official of the Year for 2008 by Easter Seals for his leadership in autism advocacy and serves as Chair of the Alabama Autism Task Force.

A copy of the resolution shall be presented to Representative Ward in recognition of his eight years of service and contributions to the House.
