Recognizes the historic marker dedication ceremony for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority honoring civil rights leader Rosa L. Parks as an honorary member, held February 24, 2010, at Court Square in Montgomery.

Acknowledges the marker as the culmination of a two-year effort beginning in March 2008, when over 1,500 AKA members convened in Montgomery for the sorority's 76th South Eastern Regional Conference.

Commemorates Rosa L. Parks's refusal to relinquish her seat on a Montgomery bus on December 1, 1955, which sparked the Civil Rights Movement, with the marker placed at the exact site where she boarded the bus.

Notes that Alpha Kappa Alpha, founded in 1908, is America's first Greek lettered organization founded by and for African-American college women and has advocated for peace, unity, and service for over a century.

Directs copies of the resolution to be provided to Dr. Juanita Sims Doty (South Eastern Regional Director for AKA), Soror Danita Rose, the Mayor of Montgomery, and the Beta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
