Commends the Pickens Academy Lady Pirates for winning the 2010 AISA Class 2A State Basketball Championship with a 28-3 season record.

Team defeated Lakeside School 53-39 in the championship game at Huntingdon College in Montgomery on February 19, 2010.

Head Coach Wade Goodman and Assistant Coach Charli Jones led the team, which included seniors Catherine Johnson, Tate Fuller, and Callie Minor; junior Lincoln Pearson; and freshmen Elizabeth Hankins, Katie McKinzey, Whitney Lowe, Brittney Steen, Breanna Stone, and Marianna Pratt.

House of Representatives honors and commends the school, players, coaches, and supporters for their teamwork and hard work in achieving the state championship.
