Recognizes Delta Day on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Alabama State Capitol in honor of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Acknowledges the sorority's founding on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University and its growth to more than 250,000 members in over 960 chapters nationwide and abroad.

Commends the sorority's Five Point Program addressing economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.

Recognizes Delta Sigma Theta members serving in the Alabama Legislature, including Senator Linda Coleman and Representatives Laura Hall, Merika Coleman, Mary Moore, Pebblin Warren, and Dr. Yvonne Kennedy (19th National President), as well as notable national figures including former Congresswomen Shirley Chisholm, Barbara Jordan, and Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

Honors the organization's significant contributions to educational, civic, and social advancement and its benefit to young women and their communities.
