Greene County High School Basketball Team won the 2010 Class 3A State Championship with a 23-7 season record and defeated Madison Academy 61-44 in the championship game.

Three senior players—QuaShawn Carpenter, Neiko Hunter, and Pierre Crawford—were named Birmingham News Super Seniors and earned spots on both the All-Tournament and All-State Teams, with Neiko Hunter named Tournament MVP.

The resolution recognizes 13 team members, five coaches (Rodney Wesley, Jeffery Wesley, Darryl White, Johnny McAlpine, and Garry Rice), team manager James Gaines, and statistician Shaquille Davis for their contributions to the state championship.

The Alabama House of Representatives congratulates the team and extends best wishes for their future endeavors.
