Commends Lieutenant Steve Searcy of the Montgomery Police Department for more than 30 years of service to the City of Montgomery and State of Alabama.

Recognizes Searcy's establishment of one of the first domestic violence response units in Alabama and his role as chair and co-chair of the Montgomery County Domestic Violence Task Force.

Acknowledges Searcy's national recognition as an expert on law enforcement response to domestic violence, including training thousands of Alabama police officers over 10 years and testifying before Congressional Committees.

Congratulates Searcy on his retirement from the Montgomery Police Department and his selection as the first Executive Director of One Place, Alabama's first Family Justice Center.
