Notes the school's founding in 1900 as Negro High School by Dr. W.R. Pettiford and Mrs. B.H. Hudson with an initial enrollment of 18 students in a single room at Avenue H and 14th Street South.

Documents the school's relocation to 8th Avenue in 1910 and renaming as Industrial High School, followed by renaming to A.H. Parker High School in 1939 upon Dr. Arthur Harold Parker's retirement.

Recognizes that A.H. Parker High School has maintained continuous accreditation since receiving official accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools in 1953.

Directs presentation of a copy of the resolution to Dr. Spurgeon Banyard, the school's eighth principal, as recognition of the school's historical significance as a monument to African-American progress in Alabama and the United States.
