Honors the life and death of Edward Mauldin of Leighton, who passed away at age 83.

Recognizes Mauldin's leadership in banking, including chairing First Colbert Bank and The Bank of Florence before leading their 1982 merger to form Bank Independent, which grew to $950 million in assets with 29 branches across six counties.

Acknowledges Mauldin's contributions to economic development through the Shoals Industrial Development Authority and his service on boards of multiple professional, civic, and philanthropic organizations including the Independent Bankers Association of Alabama and Auburn University School of Business Advisory Council.

Notes that Mauldin was survived by his wife Mildred Fennel Preuit Mauldin, three sons, four grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Directs the House of Representatives to celebrate Mauldin's life and extend condolences to his family.
