Commends Representative Craig Ford as the outstanding member of the Alabama House of Representatives during the 2006-2010 quadrennium.

Representative Ford has served House District 28 in Etowah County since his first election in 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Auburn University.

Ford served as a Captain in the United States Army Reserves and has been active in civic leadership including membership on the boards of the YMCA and Breakaway Ministries and serving as a Little League Baseball coach.

Received the Darden Rehabilitation Person of the Year award in 2003, the Friend of Labor Award in 2007, and was inducted into the Senior Citizens Hall of Fame in 2006.

Ford is a member of First Baptist Church of Gadsden where he has served as a deacon and is married to Gwen with two children, Jon Craig and Wells Elizabeth.
