Commends Alabama State Trooper Michael A. Juran for 25 years of service with the Department of Public Safety.

Trooper Juran began his career in August 1986 as a Trooper Cadet in Morgan County and served nine years at the Decatur State Trooper Post.

In 1994, he transferred to Jefferson County where he served until 2005, during which time he became a member of the Department's Honor Guard Team and Special Operations.

In March 2005, he was promoted to Corporal and served at the Tuscaloosa Post before returning to Jefferson County until his retirement in 2010.

During his career, Trooper Juran escorted notable figures including UAB Football Coach Watson Brown, Governor Guy Hunt, and former U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, and received the Good Samaritan Award and Helping Heroes Award.
