• Creates the Task Force on the Impact of Dementia on Alabamians to study all facets of dementia including Alzheimer's Disease on Alabama residents.

• Task Force composition includes: Chair of House Health Committee, commissioners/directors from Mental Health, Public Health, Senior Services, Medicaid Agency, and Human Resources departments; representatives from medical associations, nursing facilities, assisted living, adult day services, probate judges, and AARP; and Governor-appointed members including persons with Alzheimer's disease, caregivers, researchers, and community support organization representatives.

• Membership must be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban and rural, and economic diversity of Alabama, with diversity compliance reported by the 2nd legislative day of the 2011 Regular Session.

• Task Force must report findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the Legislature by the 5th legislative day of the 2011 Regular Session, after which the committee dissolves.

• Members serve without compensation and total committee expenditures are capped at $5,000.
