House of Representatives honors Mother Arelis Beevers Davis for her service as Episcopal District Supervisor of the Women's Missionary Society and Young People's Division of the Ninth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Established the "Hope and Healing" Ministry during her service as Supervisor of the Nineteenth Episcopal District, focusing on health awareness, breast cancer awareness, and women's health issues.

Holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Morris Brown College and Master of Education Degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, with nearly 30 years of experience as an educator in Alabama and Georgia.

Currently serves as a Spanish Teacher at Frederick Douglas High School in Atlanta and is listed in Who's Who Among Black Americans and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Married to Bishop James L. Davis for more than 35 years with two daughters and two grandsons.
